About Us

Lily Elkjaer Giesecke, LMT

License #60450100

Lily has been a licensed massage therapist since 2012 after graduating from Cortiva Institute. However, her interest in bodywork and functional anatomy began at an early age. Her father being a chiropractor, she has experienced firsthand the benefits of preventative care, regular bodywork and injury recovery therapy. Lily is certified in Neuromuscular Therapy, Swedish massage, Myofascial release, Prenatal massage and Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy. She uses a variety of therapeutic techniques for an integrative massage session customized for each client to address specific challenges. She specializes in chronic pain management and trigger point therapy, treating headaches and neck tension, lower back pain and nerve impingements in the neck, hips and shoulder girdle. Lily’s kind and compassionate approach encourages relaxation and restoration.

Lily lives at the edge of the Mt. Baker wilderness with her husband and daughter. When she’s not in the office you can usually find her outside enjoying the beautiful scenery the North Cascades has to offer, either on the slopes or the trails around town with her dog Pepperann. She loves biking, cooking, gardening, homesteading and finding new ways to broaden her practice.

“I believe life is about constantly evolving, as a person and a practitioner. That is why I am always deepening my knowledge of my profession and learning new modalities to aid me in providing the highest quality massage I can for my clients. Check back for more information as we add new services and I look forward to working with you in the future.”
-Lily Elkjaer Giesecke, LMP

We are conveniently located in the heart of beautiful downtown Bellingham. Nestled between the Salish Sea and the North Cascades, we are surrounded by nature’s playground. The land around us is ripe with opportunity for the outdoor enthusiast and locals like to play hard. Whether it’s shredding the trails up on Galbraith, playing with the grandkids or working on the garden, it is vital to keep our bodies in good health! Our goal is to help you feel empowered to continue doing the things you love.

The muscular system is a series of pulleys that cross joints and afix to skeletal structures to create movement. When those muscles become tight due to injuries or stress, they pull at our skeleton and create postural distortions. This can lock the body into a cycle of spasm and pain, restricting circulation and mobility. Massage helps break that cycle.

There are numerous benefits to using massage therapy as part of an overall wellness plan. Massage relieves acute and chronic muscle tension, reduces scar tissue, soothes inflammation, and facilitates the body’s natural ability to heal itself. Massage also helps lower blood pressure, increases circulation for better mobility, improves sleep and corrects postural dysfunction. It is excellent in conjunction with physical therapy, chiropractic care and yoga for injury recovery and personal maintenance.

Lily uses a combination of Swedish and deep tissue massage with targeted neuromuscular and myofascial techniques to create a unique and customized session. Every client presents different needs, which can change from session to session. Our mission is understanding this personal journey.
